October is “Mental Health Awareness” month and while it may be a trendy topic to some, it’s a true way of life to those affected by it. Those who have encountered someone battling a mental difficulty or even themselves know that it is not the easiest to battle. Navigating your life as if you are avoiding the legos on the floor and treading lightly when engaging in conversation. But, as we continue to open up more about the societal pressures we face as millennial women of color, mental health is a reoccurring topic.
